Role Summary

Your primary responsibility is handling documents and inquiries relating to mortgage investments that are in legal action. Your clientele consist of Mortgage Brokers, Lawyers and self-directed investors. You keep your clients informed as to when legal documentation is received and deliver timely notifications. You have the distinct capacity to translate complex or ambiguous information into readily-understood communications. You take the time to understand the diverse stages of foreclosure, follow up with your clients for various updates and recognize opportunities to provide further education.

Your Experience and Skills

  • High school education completion
  • Post-Secondary education is beneficial
  • Minimum of 2 years with Legal Assistant and/or Paralegal experience is required
  • Previous real estate and foreclosure experience is preferred
  • Previous experience in direct customer service
  • Prior financial services industry experience is beneficial
  • General knowledge of Registered Plans, TFSAs and RESPs is beneficial
  • Intermediate level of Microsoft Outlook, Word and Excel
  • Bilingual French is beneficial
  • Successful completion of a Criminal Background check will be required
